We were fortunate to cruise on the lovely four-star luxury MV Elegant Lady when she was fresh out of the dockyard in 2003. This is the first time we have chartered the vessel for our Ultimate Danube River Cruise. Elegant Lady has two decks, Main and Upper plus the beautiful sundeck with its loungers for sun worshippers, and a covered area for use in inclement weather. The cabins on both decks are very comfortable with full en-suite shower rooms, colour TV with video information, telephone, mini safe and radio, plus air-conditioning and heating. On the Upper deck you will find reception, the library, with its open fire place, and the large lounge with excellent viewing facilities. The restaurant on Main deck has a large TV with video set-up so you can see the world passing by. The ship is air-conditioned and non-smoking. There is a lift between decks and a chair lift to the sundeck where you’ll find fitness equipment and a small bar. Prices to cruise the Danube are always high, so we are extremely proud to have built this 7-night cruise at a realistic price for a peak July sailing. Some of the ports of call would grace a sea cruise. Like so much of central Europe, place names you might expect to be small, sleepy riverside villages, turn out to be fine towns with a long history and outstanding architecture. The Danube is an exceptionally beautiful river with wonderful cities and towns, full of sights just waiting to be seen.
